Default Oxygen Sensor for 2002 Lexus GS300

The dealership said that I need a "downstream O2 sensor"....is this just a normal O2 sensor for a '02 GS300?

If someone could provide a link of where I could pickone up that would be helpful.

Thanks guys.

There are four O2 Sensors on the car. You will need to know which one(s) needs to be replaced.

Bank 1, Sensor 1
Bank 1, Sensor 2
Bank 2, Sensor 1
Bank 2, Sensor 2

I just replaced 2. Bank 1 sensor 2, and bank 2 sensor 2. 200$ from autozone, Bosch. You got check engine light? Search the forum, it's all on here.

Downstream generally refers to after the catalytic converter.

I've attached a PDF from the repair manual that gives you a picture. Downstream would be 'senor 2' for both banks.

Is Bank 2 Sensor 1 the downstream sensor?. Is there a specific name for it or is it the same for the passenger side

I got mine on eBay, OEM Denso units for $80. Easy to change out, less than 30 minutes.
