Thanks for the info Jeff! I just changed out my reverse lights yesterday and noticed the resistors on the inners have hot spots (starting to bubble from heat). I mean they work fine and no indicator light but it definitely raises a concern. But It looks like I'll be taking them out.

Yakuza I know you just sold your taillights not too long ago, any updated pics of the new set Ur running ? BTW, you shouldn't have any problems running the taillights without the resistors, other than maybe having the tailight malfunction indicator on

I'm getting the Braga Type-3's with smoked bottoms. These have large 3 row LED's. I just installed a similar set for the RX300 so I want them to match

Here's a few photos how they turned out the RX. (And I'm still using the resistors LOL, but maybe not for long)

Here is a video of the Depos functioning. They look all good to me. I think the outer LEDs on the outermost taillights do not function as brake lights, at least that what it looks like http://youtu.be/dTNUop1_sfQ

Question for people who just run the outer taillights.... how do you get them to light up if you eliminate the inners?

Don't plug in the inner tail lights. The inner tail lights work independently of the outers.

The fix is simple. Don't plug in the resistor packs. The tail lights will operate exactly the same whether you have the resistor hooked up or not. It's just an unnecessary power drain. One of the main benefits to upgrading to LED is to save power and reduce heat output. The resistor kind of throws all that out the window. The fix is as following: don't install resistor and then remove bulb indicator on the gauge cluster. If you can install the tail lights yourself, then pulling the bulb from the gauge cluster is a breeze. It will literally take you 5 minutes to do.

Default help on led braga type 3

I have the braga type 3 and I get the dash indicator when I press the brake, and leads or info on installing after market resistors? I don't wanna shorten the life of leds by not using resistors, thanks!

The resistors do not lengthen the life of the LEDS. AFAIK, they are ONLY there to prevent the dash indicator from illuminating. I just cut the wire to the rear light module int he trunk. There is a thread here on that.
