Default Please help with GS4

Ok guys, Please help me. I'm really in a bind. My wife wants a new car. So obviously, Lexus is our first choice. I have an ES300 and I love it. My wife wants an RX300. But I'm talking her out of it. So we're looking at the GS400. I'm looking to spend around $30k. I found a 99 white/tan one with 25k on it with nav for $32,995. (This was the internet special). They said they were originally asking around $36k for. Is that a good deal if I pick it up for around $32, or can I get it for cheaper. I really preffer a black or silver with nav. My wife is always getting lost so I definately need nav. Also considering a 99 Mercedes E430. Please help me out guys. If you guys know one for sale around my price range, please help me out. I'm looking to buy one by next week if I can. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

If SHE wants a new car and SHE will be the driver, get her what SHE wants. Believe me, the price will be worth it, whatever it is.

My wife has an RX300 by the way. LOVES it. No way I would ever have tried to convince her to drive a GS instead.

She doesn't have nav, but now she's seen it a lot on my GS, I think she'll want it in her next vehicle.

for a 98 or 99 you should be able to get them for less than 30k with decent mileage.

Well the car is gonna be really for both of us. She drove the GS4, and loved it. She also drove the RX and liked it. But she likes the RX cuz she thinks it's a good car for a women. (I don't know why she thinks that). But she seems to favor the GS more, that's why I'm leaning more towards it. Just need to know if that 99 was a good buy for me?

I hope you are giving her the ES, and you are getting the GS4.

Ask her why she thinks that...

Couple of points on why my wife likes her RX...

Sits up higher than a car, she feels safer (regardless of whether it's true). Doesn't feel as intimidated by 18 wheelers on the highway.

Likes the fact that there's a big open space between the transmission shifter (which is off the floor) and the 'drawers'/center-console-thingy - she can put her purse, cell phone, big bottle of water, etc. there. No chance of doing this in a GS.

She of course likes the convenience of the big hatch at the back vs. a trunk.

She feels safer with AWD.

Anyway, your mileage (wife) may vary... but ask her.
