Just bought a 2000 GS 300 with 177k miles :O for $7500 OTD from a local Honda dealer. I'm hoping that was a good price but the car is absolutely immaculate for such high mileage. The seats, carpets, paint, all near perfect condition. (lol I sound like I'm trying to sell the car) And the engine is running smooth without any problems, as far as I can tell. I'm having it fully inspected tomorrow.
The car is bone stock, but hopefully, not for long

First thing I was going to say is you paid waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much for the car, but I guess if it's in that immaculate condition as you say then -shrug- as long as you're happy.
Def post pics soon, and I hope that the timing belt and water pump have already been replace around 170k or so, because if not then you would have def been jipped on the price unless you're going to do all the labor yourself. Usually that service runs around 1k.

Damn I was happy until you said that lol. How much does a 2GS go for? I should have done more research before I bought but I needed a car. I paid 2k less than what the dealer stickered it for but I knew they marked up the price. I thought it was fair...
I had an agreement that if there was something that needed to be fixed that costs more than $500, the deal would be void and I would get my money back. The belt is new but not sure about the water pump. I guess I'll find out tomorrow

DftMachine, don't you think it's a little too late to worry about the price you already paid? It's your money, and if you like the car, then you paid a fair price and leave it at that. I lack the patience and temperament to bargain hard so I never ever discuss what I paid with anyone, and if anyone pushes too hard, I lie hard to make them feel stupid, as if THEY overpaid. Enjoy your car, it sounds like you're proud of it, it sounds like you earned it, and let the modding begin.

I wish I could mod this car to drift but it's almost a temporary car since I'm going to Parris Island for boot camp in June. Then my younger sister will take the car I'm hoping I can enjoy the car and make a couple mods before then, though. We'll see
