Perfectly normal. Trucks and police cars have accurate speedos for instance, but not "normal" cars.

My GM cars all have had very close speedos except my 91 Lumina, that one was like 5-6 mph off. GM tachs suck for accuracy, but speedos are typically spot on.

Are the Japanese cars typically just off? Now I know how off and can "fix" my drive times!

Nice! Congrats...cant wait to install my SC now...the boys with the rmm kits have a VERY hard time hitting 380whp+ you need A LOT of supporting mods to do so. If I had to guess, you are prob at 4.5 0-60 and a high 12's or very low 13 in the 1/4 mile. Good work!

Thanks man
I know a few in the 390whp range Plus I have maaaany supporting mods. I'm sure I am in that range.
Either way I still have not had a clean launch and I'm using stock tires and the car is still accelerating great. I would love to see what it does with some wide sticky tires.
Can't wait to see your car once the sc is installed. I'm already considering getting another gs after I purchase my next car. I shipped off my first part today so there is no turning back now.

Use extreme caution with sticky tires on the spindly 8" diff we have. An 8" ring gear won't live long with sticky rubber. Wheel spin isn't a BAD thing when the diff is way undersized for the power level.

I actually just meant some better tires than the stock almost used up 17" tires I have on there.
Like maybe some wider michelins. Nothing too crazy. I can spin the tires excessively on demand, and with trac off it is just waaaay too easy to go sideways. But thanks for the advice.

Nice time.

I know that speedos on most cars here in Australia are off by about 2 or 3km/h at 100km/h; we have a law of 10% speedo accuracy here in Australia which allows manufacturers to set their speedos to show that they are going (for a typical amount) faster than actual road speed that the vehicle is travelling.

Btw, what kind of gears do you have in the rear? The stock 3.26 or the 3.76's from
the Supra? Judging by the videos it seems to be that you have the stock gearing, as you are able to hit 60mph still in 2nd gear; is this correct? I'm gonna try to leave my 3.76's in, even when i'm supercharged. Eventhough it isn't recommended bc of bouncing off of rev limiter issues

Yes I have stock gears. I think stock gears would be better than 3.76's because the car already has traction issues. The reason I can't get a better time yet is because the tires just spin too easily when launching so I can't even imagine how much more difficult it would be to get traction with the 3.76 gearing. The tires are spinning in 2nd gear as well.
