Default Alexus Won't Start :(

Hoping some of you guys could help me with what is usually my super, super reliable baby.

The battery has juice, it's definitely not that. It's a Yellow Top and all lighting etc. is very strong.

It doesn't kick over at all, ignition lights are on, everything is normal, all gauges work as per usual, it sounds like the immobiliser is not allowing the car to start.
I've tried both keys. I've tried locking the doors and unlocking etc.
I've tried disconnecting the battery for 10min in the hope that some kind of reset will take place.

For smoe reason I can't think of anything else it may be.
Will upload a video to show you. Would appreciate any help

Damian.

No Hence why I thought it was the immobiliser, not the battery. It is totally dead.
Uploading Video now.

Thanks so much for your reply, I'm in Australia, I'm assuming you should be asleep now! Appreciate it, that's why I love this forum.

did you just replace your battery or something. ok try doing this .
insert the key to the ignition on position for 6 minutes and then remove the key, insert the key and try starting it.

What does that do?

Battery is very good condition, but not new at all. About 12 months old.

i dont think leaving in the key for 6 minutes will do anything

Do you have a masterkey?
Was the car always like this?
Is that key a new key?

I got it started!

I spent all day mucking around checking all fuses etc. and I called my Father in Law past (electrician, which doesn't really mean anything, but he had a multimeter and is good at diagnosing issues like this) we tried everyhting, slowly going through all the main things. Turns out it was/is the inhibitor switch.

It didn't start in P, nor in N, but, I jiggled the Gear Stick around in N and it started. Back in P it starts, Back in N, it starts. Dam it!!!

So I need to check the inhibitor switch and perhaps replace it or its housing.
It'll save me a trip to the dealer/auto elec, a tow and most likely more cash.

Thanks so much anyway guys!

I drive this car daily. On the weekend I have this:

The 2GS300 is such an awesome car. It's perfect in every way for, in Australia, under $10K.
Smooth, Quiet, Comfy, Safe, Xenons, Leather, Sunroof etc. great car, mine has 300,000km on it so it's not perfect, but has no rattles and is, apart from this today, perfectly reliable.
This is mine:
