I have a bad seized up caliper....and I can't find a replacement anywhere. I've ordered them from like 10 sites just to have them tell me its sold out. Do I have to have it rebuilt? Any suggestions?

I would check with NAPA or Checker auto. They have rebuilt ones. they will charge you and arm and a leg for it, but when you return the core the cost is cheap. From what I recall, I only ended up paying about 150.00 for it.

if I used ls400 calipers wouldn't I have to switch the rotors? plus this awesome forum has blocked me from the classifieds for being "un ethical" for 60 days or something gay like that

Do you currently have supra calipers on the car now? if so, bring them to napa or whichever you prefer and pay the additional cost. Core will cost an arm and a leg so make sure you have them with you and call ahead. Replace both while your at it, youll be thankful in the long run.

you ASKED about why you had to wait here and it was explained to you
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sit...the-forum.html
THEN you went ahead and got cute and decided to make a WB/FS post in the suspension and brakes section KNOWING you didnt qualify for making a WTB post and that it would allow you to make a new thread there and then had that post closed
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...ly-please.html
not to mention you made a fake post about a members car and how cool it was and then they discovered it was your car or something to this effect
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...um-member.html
so take it as them being "gay" as you say but the rules are here to protect us honest members from dealing with the dishonest members

Please don't hijack my thread. I am still trying to figure out how to get the calipers. NAPA says they can't get them either....this is crazy. Anyone know a good rebuilder for these?

Find someone to rebuild them. They are extremely difficult to find now. My 2GS was just written off, and I'm buying back the wreck for the parts - mainly because it has mkiv brakes on it, and I'd feel too guilty letting them go to wrecker unnoticed, or worse crushed. I also don't know any rebuilders, sorry.

im not, you did that on your own when you started posting about how you "were being picked on". i just showed everyone the REAL reasons you were being treated like that
so you cant find them at a local....napa,advance,o'riely's,carquest,autozone,acdelco,and any other local place doesnt have them or cant get them....NOR can you find them on the internet?i googled buy supra TT caliper and found SEVERAL places that have them rebuilt or manufactured not even counting junkyards i saw that had them
since you have said several conflicting things in those 3 posts i quoted....are you selling your car or keeping it? if selling just buy some OEM ones and install them and call it a day and after this, i will exit this thread

a lot of sites show them, but when you go to buy them, they cancel the order within a few days saying they cant get them. I might go back to OEM, I just don't feel like changing all 4 rotors and calipers for 1 bad caliper. Anyone have a silver bullet here?
