just got a 99 gs400 silver with the nakamichi system
just a quick q
i wanna go after market hu and understand i shud bypass the oem amp. is this amp in the trunk on the right side of spare tire?
how do you guys run the wires? from the deck to the speakers?

The amp is actually hidden behind plastic trim in the glove box.
I have an aftermarket amp for the door speakers. Runs from the trunk to all four speakers.

hey thanks for the replies guys
i believe the one near the glovebox is the pioneer one, but as for the nakamichi its in the trunk. so how do you guys wire up an aftermarket deck. i found the wiring diagram for the naka system and on the schematic it looks straight forward, i wud remove the speaker outputs from the amp and then connect my aftermarket deck into that however if the amp is in the trunk and if i had to connect the output of the deck into the speakers at the output of the amp then it seems redundant to go from center console back to amp where the speakers are? haha sounds confusing but what do you guys do?
