I can still see a very faint outline on mine from the right angle after polishing but nothing like the op described. I'd be beyond frustrated!

This happened to my gs....i replaced the badges with blackpearl ones.

where did you get your blackpearl badges? The original plan was to debadge and replace the L with a blackpearl one but it looks like im going to have to replace all the badges with blackpearl ones.....

You can find the black pearl emblems on eBay. You usually won't be able to find the grill emblem without a high price, but the rear emblems should be fairly inexpensive.
