i cut off the metal clips and just taped the visor on the metal window rail.
ghetto, I think the clip is just to help people from stealing it. Since its just double side tape. All people have to do is just rip it off.

So it's better to cut off the clip and just tape instead?

NO! its not better...the clips are obviously there for a reason, they fit perfect with the clips and tape, i dont understand what the major problems are here. I fit mine with ease

i knew what i was getting myself into when i decided to cut the clips. luckily, theft is not an issue where i live

not sure if its better, but in my situation it was. when i test fitted it with the clip, the tape on the visor only lined up with the rubber piece shown on the photo i posted. i didnt like it because it wasnt a solid surface to stick the tape on.

Theft is ALWAYS an issue no matter where you live.

Anyways, even with clips it sits how yours sit. You probably didn't install them correctly that it is why it was sitting higher. My visors sit exactly how yours sit like and still using the clips/tape

Congrats on getting the visors, gives the car a great look. However I was able to install mine with no problems using the clip and tape. IMO having the clips just gives me peace of mind that the visor wont go flying off on the freeway. I was scared to pull the rubber part to put in the clips at first, but figured doing so I was able to stick them right in with no problems.

Good luck and enjoy the visors.

They should be fine without the metal clips. Only issue you might have eventually is your double sided tape loosing it's adhesion to the metal especially with it being black and the Hawaiian sunshine. Enjoy!

Hmmm... I'm still confused as to how these go on. I installed mine last night, but I think I did it wrong....

Mine don't go all the way up to the rubber trim on the door... It sits about 1/8th of an inch lower... Can't take pics because it's raining pretty hard outside. Besides, mine didn't come with any metal clips.

The clips are suppose to go in between the rubber and the door trim then align the tape.
