You can get them on Ebay for around $350... I can ask my friend if he can get you a set for cheaper though.

imho it's too dim, to me 6000k is the limit. with 7000k you can't see the ground as good in some occasions. ask lex400sc about it
rominl, for pure performance(i.e. best lighting or MOST Lumens) nothing is going to be better than OEM 4100k's... my friend never has problems seeing with his Hellas though as they do put out over twice as many Lumens as Halogens.

very true, the higher you go the less performance you get from the hid. one thing for sure is 7000+k hid are very good for shows, it definitely catches a lot of eyes

Exclamation lexus HID

The 'new' lexus system reflects purple light. I heard someone say that Lexus uses reflector not projector and that is why Lexus is more white/blue--THAT IS NOT CORRECT. Older lexus HID is white / blue looking becuase of lower buring temps. The new HID (SC, LS and on the new GS) burns above 6000 and is a definte white with PURPLE like acura and audi.

My question is what daytime running light bulb do i need to match this purple hue? ANYONE...

can't be true. 6000k hid are street illegal and no manufacturer would put that in the car. all manufacturers are still using 4100k including lexus on the gs. if anything it's the design of the reflective housing that makes it look a bit more purplish. and yes projective type on the audi and bimmers are much puplish looking coz' of the lens too, they are using 4100k as well.

i have 6000k hid on my gs4 and everyone can tell my light is a lot bluer / purpler / whiter and any gs with hid out there.

and it's interesting why so many people think the acura has purple hid. i have an acura too and it looks the same to me?!

it's all optics. From certain angles my hid's look like they're 10000k
