Default NEW 2003 gs430 owner--questions

I just bought a 168k mile GS430.... mint car....
black on black with nav ..chrome wheels ..factory spoiler.....etc. loaded car...
2 owners and all highway miles after 36k... but the timing belt has not been changed according to the last owner...
Should I just get it done?

i paid $7500 for the car.... I think it was fair---
I also own a CL65-
1987 GNX (for sale)
2008 600 hp ESCALADE black and AWD
2002 SC430 (for sale)

Welcome to Club Lexus. Nice cars you have.. on your GS430 with 168K miles. I would get the 90K service done ASAP since you are almost double miles over the recommended interval (hwy miles or not).. Have you suspension checked, and get the ball joints replaced as they go out around 100K on most cars depending on the driver.

Congrats! Fair price but don't wait any minute longer to change that belt and water pump. I just changed mine out at 110k miles (2001 Gs430) and water pump was leaking a bit. Belt still looked very solid but once again you don't want to be taking chances with this.

Same car, did same at 120k. Belt looked fine; water pump was leaking a little.

Love the car.. having owned so many cars... Lexus's and so on and $200k AMG's... for $8000 I am in love all over again with such a great car and investment

Today I changed the drive belt on my GS430... IT WAS 100% ALL ORIGINAL with 168k miles on it...
AND IT was in excellent condition.... very impressed..

i paid $600 for a new belt and water pump and pulleys...installed...

Still can't fathom at 168k miles and 9 years the belt was almost like new... I will post pics...
