One more thing, leave the timing belt cover off amd turn the car on. Observe the cam gear on bank 1 and 2 see if they are spinning in sync

In sync as in both spinning at the same time and speed. To remove the cam gear just remove the bolts no need to remove the camshaft

there are alot of bolts, I removed the large 14mm bolt on the front of cam gear and drained the oil out. I then took out the hex bolt inside of the cam gear and it will still not come off. I ordered a new vvti gear also.

I replaced the VVti gear and that took care of the problem, the previous person that worked on the car must have taken apart the gear and did not put it back together correct. Thansk for all the help and I hope this helps somebody else out.

I forgot to mention that you have to remove the valve cover and then remove the intake cam to replace the cam gear. You also need a way to set the anti lash gear on the exhaust gear before you reinstall the intake cam.
