I left my map light on like a dumbass last night and the car was completely dead. I was using my booster pack and it took more than expected. I started to shut everything off that would turn on normally. I also noticed my ECT power was on and shut that off.
Finally get it started after 10min and as I am pulling out of my driveway im noticing that it is almost not engaging in the transmission started to move/creep at 1800rpms. I am wtf is going on fml this better not be happening. so im taking it around corner and I knew something was F'ed up there was no power and the engine was revving out of control.
I remember halfway down the street I shut ECT off, so I flip the switch to snow and then back to power and BAMM car takes off like it normally should. Sigh of relief!!
With that being said...when your car dies dont touch ECT!!!!!

Something like that happened to me too. I didn't close the trunk properly and the light drained the battery. The car sat for about a week.
We hooked it to another car and started it. Idle was very high and wouldn't come down. The first couple of miles were very weird. The car would barely move, even when pushing the pedal all the way. When the engine was warmed up, things started to go better.
I think it has to do with the ECU relearning everything, since this was like a reset.

glad you posted this up. because since then it's been fine. but i was worrying my tranny was about to go
