Default Power tilting wheel question?

Will greasing the power tilting wheel make it quieter? I worked at a Lexus dealer for 4 years and only the 2nd gen GS's power tilt wheel is loud? The 98-00 LS's wheel is super quiet and smooth. What makes the GS's so loud?

Damn! I just can't figure out why the 2nd gen GS's are loud and every other Lexus with power tilt is quiet.

Probably best if you had both steering assemblies and compared the two.
Either motor or gears used being used.

I plugged in my Toyota TDT computer and turned off the auto-tilt on mine. No more noise

I was considering doing that as well but my friends are fascinated with it. I'll make a vid on how load mine is to compare with the sound of yours.

Heres the vid

Well I like the power tilt but don't like the noise lol. The 98-00 LS's are super quiet so I don't know why they wouldn't just use the same motor/gears.

Meh, I never liked the auto tilt. I have an aftermarket wheel anyways so it's much smaller. My knees don't slam on the steering wheel when I get in / out.

My 98 LS400 is super quiet too
