Oh okay. I thought they were fiberglass. I think that I'm going to purchase this replica as this is not my money pit. I want to keep this car nice and still daily drive-able without the worry of damaging it. All of those funds go to my show car.

Hmm good update. It's only a matter of time before an OG comes and troll this tread. The authentic TTEs are hard to come by so if this one is thick poly it's a step in the right direction. Who will be the 1st?

This is the same price of the fiberglass replicas.... seems like its worth a shot if it is indeed polyurethane. Someone needs to report back after they order it.....

So i bought the replica last week and it just came in today. All I have to say is to fiberglass. The lip came in 2 pieces i can't imagine what it would do on the road. The material was so brittle. UPS is coming by tomorrow to do an onsite inspection, and hopefully they will reimburse me since it is insured.

Btw, I bought this lip from a company in Cali called O-nex. Wouldn't really recommend them for anything (poor customer service and communication).

In the meantime, the new poly-urethane lip should be here by next week. Hopefully the material will be more durable. I'll report back to let you guys know how it is.

Btw, here's a pic of the fiber lip. I didn't even want to take it out of the plastic wrap:

one of the TTE replica (polyurethane) was picked up for me today. i personally have not seen it set cause my friend picked it up for me. from what my friends me the seller sold about 20 of them already and i got one of the new ones from his new batch which was received 3 days ago. my friend said the test fit at the shop wasnt on point but the seller said it just needs to be baked. he told me to paint and bake it a little before you put it on the car. is this correct? btw i ill be using a heatgun to bake since i wont be putting it on till night time. he said it should fit better than the VIS fiberglass one so we will see. ill let you guys know how it goes. wish me luck!

i'll post more close up pics of the tte rep made in polyeurethane by o-nex. but yeah.. if i was to rock a tte rep, i'd rather have it in polyeurethane like the real tte lip rather than fiberglass, which isn't flexible and will crack for all those slammed 2gs'.

i can't take pictures of the fitment on the bumper because it's just off. me and a buddy had to squeeze both ends together in order for the lip to fit flush and perfect with the contours of the bumper. but like the seller said.. it just had to be done when the sun is out since polyeurethane becomes flexible around heat.

no need to spread false and misleading information around. for the last time, the real tte lip is made out of polyeurethane. the tte rep was then made in fiberglass but since there were a bunch of requests for it to be made in polyeurethane, the company (o-nex) decided to make them in polyeurethane, so now we have tte replica's made in polyeurethane and fiberglass.
