Default Adjust transmission detent cable???

I have a hesitation when I take of from a complete stop causing the car to jerk if I apply to much gas.
I was reading on the 1st gen about the TPS and the transmission detent cable. I was wondering with having a 2nd gen if it is possible to adjust this detent cable to get rid of the rest of the hesitation? If so where can I find this cable to adjust

I had same problem with my accord and adjusting the throttle position cable on the tranny cured my issues

I adjusted the throttle cable to remove excess slack. And it def helped but not completely.

What can I do to fix this? Are there any sensors I could clean that might make an improvement?

Have you checked your transmission fluid level (hot, with the engine idling in park?) Also, is the fluid still a nice bright red, or has it turned brown?
Fluid is the simplest place to start, and should be eliminated as a possibility before going on to other possible causes.

That was one of the first things I checked and it is at the correct level. And the color looks like its as new as it was 35k miles ago. I just ordered tranny fluid from Sewell yesterday. Those guys are great. I am not sure what intervals we are suppose to change it but my g35 was every 30k so that's why I am changing it even though it looks great.

Found a link that essentially does what the old detent cable did in the previous tranny. You will have to drop the pan to do it.

Thanks Sam, this helped with the problem I was experiencing. I think it has made the tranny shift better then ever before.

What's your definition of better? Quicker? Smoother? Or both? Usually increasing the pressure makes it quicker but harsher. Please describe the change. Thanks

I think I would describe it as more of a crisp shift so its a little of both.
