Default Rear light icon on instrument panel

I have an 02 gs300 with a rear spoiler. As I was taking off this morning to go to work I noticed an icon light up on my instrument panel and it was the little car with the rear lights. When I got to work I had a co worker step on my brakes to see which of the lights were out and all the brake lights worked but the LED's on my spoiler had a few out could this be causing that light on my instrument panel to illuminate? Also checked my turn signals and reverse lights an they are working.

its NOT a fuse....if it was a fuse his lights wouldnt work period

OP someplace you do have a brake light out, since i dont have a spoiler i dunno if the LED's out on it will cause that light or not but one of your lights is def out. have someone step on brakes AGAIN and check them closely....i swore up and down all mine worked but eventually i did find one that was out. i replaced it and it went away....

Yes could be the lights going out on your spoiler that is giving the code.. I had the same problem but since i didnt have a spoiler the problem was on my 3rd brake light where one of the led lights were out. Get it replaced and it should fix your problem

my light was on even though all my rear lights were working. before i did the mod to disable the warning light, i think it was on b/c the "city lights" in front were out.

before you do this look over the other lights i really think you have another one out, i dont think the LED's on the spoiler affect this, i told you i had a tricky one for a few days i couldnt find it but then i finally noticed it

i dont recall 100% but im fairly certain the city lights wont affect this bulb

he doesnt have a rear deck light, as he stated, he has a spoiler so he wouldn't have a 3rd deck light

The rear icon light is the actually brake lamp failure light. I would remove the bulbs and check regardless, i all are good the only thing left would be a bad brake failure sensor. Thats assuming your led spoiler is good and u dont have a rear deck brake

hmm. that's what i thought. but someone told me (& i thought i also read on here) that it tells about all light failure. i took it as the truth since those were the only lights that were out & the warning light only came on when i turned on my headlights.

oh well, i won't have to worry about it since i did the mod to cut the light out.

this is an issue that I'm having with my car.
I had a brake light out. I replaced the bulb, but the warning light is still on... What gives?
