You don't need to explain to anyone why you choose to go with replica wheels. You do what works for you. You think a set of $6k wheels come with extra curb protection? Just something to think about. To answer your original question you'll be just fine with the 9.5 up front.

I am running 19x9 with 245/40's with a +33 on my gs3. I could go with a 10-15mm spacer up front and a 20-25mm spacer in the rear if I wanted the rims to be flush with the fender but would have to do some modifications if I wanted to go lower. I have NF210's and with the car loaded down with 700lbs + for a 500 mile trip, the rear were tucked and no scrubbing. I plan on lowering the front some more with rca's, just haven't figured what size I want yet.
