For the past 6 years i've washed all my own cars with the 2 bucket technique. When it's cold i use warm water but obviously wash less!

I knew I couldn't be the only one washing my car in this cold weather for some of us.

As for the FL, TX, CA etc. guys, don't even start. I still remember last week when it was mid 40's and I was rolling with the sunroof tilted and the windows partially rolled down. It wasn't even cold to me compared to all this freezing-20 degree weather I've been getting. I can't wait until it's about 60-70 degrees.

As for the rest of us, we've only got a couple more months until we can wash our cars shirtless bumping the music when there's a cool breeze going on. I can't wait for that. My car has usually always been clean but I've been so busy with school that I haven't had time.

On a side note, as some of you know I've been lurking for a car for some time now. Well, I've finally came to my senses and will probably be purchasing a 2008 BMW 335i coupe. 18k with Navi and most of the goodies. Also a 6 speed manual which I've been looking for. The GS may be passed on down the family/sold to a private party/traded in depending on how much they offer/ or my favorite option, BOOST TIME!!!!

We'll see how everything goes down first.

I always wash it by hand. Those machine car washes leave swirls like no other.

It's like 20 degrees as of right now and I still sleep with a fan on. And I go shirtless all the time inside my house and when I sleep regardless of weather. Also sleep in my basement if that contributes

And your telling me you have a hoodie on under 70? lol joking man, this reminds me of my folks back in Vietnam, I'll be sweating and their saying it's actually a cool day. Wtf?

Freaking trooper, lol. I'd be dying if I were you. My family is from Jamaica so you can see why I hate anything under 70, lol.. I prefer to sweat than to be chilled.

I am the complete opposite. I'd much rather be chilled then sweating. Talk about chilled, here in the next few few weeks, I'm gonna start going on fishing trips.

Imagine this, around 20-30's on top of water which makes it worse, sometimes winds picking up in your face, sometimes when you catch a fish, they splash water on your face, hands freeze, pulling up the anchor, you get the idea. Doing that from 6 AM to about 2-3 PM on a good day, bad day until about 4-5 PM lol. It sucks but it's another one of my hobbies so I can't complain. It sure does suck though because on top of that, another 2 hours drive The things we do for our own interest.

I have washed my cars in 40 degree weather(cold for FL). Lately I will use touchless washers to hold me over till I get warmer weather.

I go to a "auto spa" down the street from my work 2-3 times a month. Only reason why is because they wash ferraris lambos bentleys etc etc there so it isn't as bad as normal car washes. Hate me for it but when the spring comes, shell get a nice claybar, polish and mega wax and stick to hand washing that fat azz.

I hate putting my car through any kind of car washer. My cousins and I usually gather at ones house on a nice weekend and wax all of our cars. People always stare at our cars like WTF? lol. If we all gather which happens only once in awhile, there would be a C63, IS-F, M3, IS350, and soon to be a S4 I think, my GS soon to be replaced by a 335i, and rarely my older cousin with his new 550i. It's kind of crazy, most of them are black also. We spend a whole day and sometimes into the next day if we all gather. Then sometimes go for a cruise which is so fun to do.

On a side note, washed car yesterday, today it started to rain a bit :/

My car never goes through the carwash (it doesn't go through, way too low). Plus I enjoy washing my car. In the winter I try to use the quick detailer in between car washes to keep it clean longer. So if theres no salt on the roads I can go for a few months without a proper wash. I just washed my car for the first time last week since early december.
