Default Lexus gs400 or Lexus ls400

I'm looking at buying a 1998 Lexus gs400 or 1997 lexus ls400. Having a hard time trying to decide so any feed on these 2 vehicles would be appreciated. They both have around 120k miles on them. Also the gs400 had some engine work/ engine swap which was performed at Snap Performance and Advanced Auto Repair and Sales in Grand Prairie Tx, so i would like to get some feedback on them as well.

If it's a '97 LS400, I would definitely say go with the GS400 as it has the newer VVT-i engine and updated features.

The gs4 w chip, exhaust and rims will keep up with stock turbo cars that are 12 years newer...mine does.

between those choices, GS400 is the obvious choice. If you were to step up to a 1998 LS then I will probably prefer the LS.

Go with the sports sedan. You'll love it! GS400 or GS430 would be better. The second generation GS has maintained its update look and the value retention on these cars is still pretty good. People dont like to let go of these. Good luck!

LS, that car is huge and the rear view mirror make it worst.
IMO, Go with the sporty 2GS, I kept turn around and look at my GS at night time when I throw out the garbage. I felt in love with my GS's look! lol

I driven both cars. I'm not to fond of the two-tone paint job on the ls. The ls is an option because I do a lot of driving weekly (95% highway) and I wanted a reliable, comfortable car.

For reliability, go with the GS300. Great for commuting. Easy to work on. For comfort, go with the GS. All signs point toward the GS. Im a fan of the LS but nothing older than 2004. Go with the GS.
