Front Bumper Clearance??
For those of you running Lips or Kits, how far off the ground is your front bumper? If I lower the car to where I want, fenders being right above the tires, the bumper in the front is only like 2.5-3 inches off the ground. To me that might seem unpractical for daily driving. I raised the car up immediately after I brought the car home from the shop so I don't have to drive around all slow and ish. Do you just drive with the bumper that low praying to the scrape or hit anything. Does anyone else have this problem/delima?

I have about a 4 inch clearance with my TTE front lip. This clearance is adjustable thru the my coils. Avoids hitting most things in NJ but still have to be very carefull.
The real drawback is you never miss hitting the small pebbles as their is almost no chance they will go under the car and overtime will start to cause nicks and scratches on the front lowered bumper. I am having a tough time keeping my front lip spoiler clean from road debris. But nothing beats the look of my big sweet juicy lip!

Having the same kit as you do (damn u!! lol j/k) the explosion kit is pure VIP japanese style, so it sits very low on front bumper even if you only use mild lowering (like l-tuned, etc)
You have to be realli careful from now on, any bump, curve, you gotta take them wheel by wheel. It is kinda troubling, but when you see it the kit riding in person, its worth it every second.
have fun.

Your ride would go practical if you are just talkign about cruizing on freeway/local, dont worry about the lip, It will not hit the ground however fast you go. it has enough clearence.
but like i said, take any bump, shopping mall entrance, wheel by wheel.

Thanks Wei for the encouraging advice. I am thinking about dropping it back down another inch or so. I have the ugly wheel well gap back and I would like to get rid of it. I guess I am going to be one of those cars that holds up the line when going over speed bumps and into driveways.

Contact RMMGS4, he has an innovative solution which adds to peace of mind. He mounted some [steel?] channel bars to the frame underneath the front bumper. He still hits a lot, but these bars take most of the abuse. Most of the SF bay area gang have seen the mod, if/when I add a lip this mod will quickly follow.

Yeah I saw that mod on his car at the Carson Meet in August. It was pretty kewl. He said he just takes driveways straight on now because of the teflon bars in the front.

I have a lowered 430 (-30mm) with the TTE lower front spoiler. I have to be really carefull now with parking as low kerbs will take it out.
The answer could be to fit rear parking sensers to the front to warn you when you are close to the kerb.
I am currently trying to find some rear sensers that will fit the front.
Will let you all know when I have.
