on some cars.... this increase in length make the immobilizer work... or don't work. The car won't start!

best is to trim it.. but it'll be a hit or miss. you were lucky that it worked out for you!

if you search.. you'll read about it...

Mine is longer than the original and works. As long as the fob is close to the keyhole it'll be fine. Couple of mm wont hurt.

Only problem with the bigger flip keys is, have you tried putting your wipers on full yet lol

Is the blade longer than your original key. I have the same key and I don't want to pay to get it cut if it won't work. I have read that because the blade is longer the car won't start because the transponder is too far away from the key hole. I have a 2000 GS400 by the way.

when i ordered mine from 1010keys i asked them to cut mine shorter and they did. mine was the exact same length as the oem key. i dont have any problems with my car not starting or it being to long and hitting my windshield wipers lever. only problem i had with them was their customer service. it was quite hard for me to get a hold of them and when i did their responses to my questions where unhelpful. overall im pretty satisfy with the keys but the button is pretty sensitive so the key tends to pop out alot. fast shipping too, got it within three days of payment.

had this too lol
but i do not recommended it because the actual key itself is long, i found it annoying that i had to hold the base of the key to turn the key to start the car. i got rid of it right away lol

mines work perfectly fine. I had it for 3 months now, only problem is mines ran out of battery and I've been having trouble trying to removing the case to take out the battery...anyone know how to remove the case? I've taken out the screw in the back already.
