THANKS!

I have had them sit behind me and run my tags while they wait for me to do something stupid, but i'm usually pretty chill when I whip the GS around. My custom NY plates look fake because they are flat, not the stamped kind.

AYE!

My friend got pulled over while I was with him in his 370z which is slammed and running about -5.5 up front and -7 in the back. The officer said "those wheels poking out like that doesn't look safe" lol so we had to explain to him that its completely fine lol.

Here in Denver, CO, they pull over "rice rockets". They dont mess around with modd'd luxury cars or big/lifted 4x4's.

this is the kinda thing i ment when posting this thread, i could see cops/police seeing this as unsafe and therefor not letting you drive your car?

One guy here in socal got pulled over & cited for "Unsafe vehicle" & they towed his car home.
My buddy got pulled over & they cited him for "Unsafe vehicle" too, but the cop did not tow his car.
Unsafe vehicle = 24002VC

Our city has a huge shortage off cops so moddified cars get a pass pretty much everytime right now... However, if it gets stolen then this shortage still applies... Good luck locating it

it's only about time that cops find that perfect vehicle code (VC) that'll get us. we all have modified our cars in someway that is illegal. it's just a matter of situation and the cop's mood.

side note: per california VC, it is technically illegal to use headlight bulbs OTHER than what you can get at the dealership. autozone/pep boys aftermarket units are considered illegal even as OEM replacements, yet they still sell them.

Really? Don't they say "DOT Approved" on them?

i'm black also and i think we actually get a pass since we don't drive a stereotypical black guy's car. i'm pretty sure i would have been stopped in socal by now if i had a caprice on 24's. i'm lowered on 20's with hid's in the low beams and fogs, no tint though.
