i shaved my rears with a 6in air grinder with 24 grit paper and it ran through it like no other the quarter panels and outer wheel house are spot welded and panel bonded together. i shaved mine asfar as i could go with out making the quarter super sharp,when i wasdone grinding the fenders the wheel house started to seperate from the quarter so i just used some panel bond material and sime vise grips with paint sticks under the ends so i didnt damage the paint let the panel bond dry for a while then got in there with some sprayable seam sealer (thick undercoating )and wala no worries for rust or the panels seperating.
