Haven't gone to dyno yet because the car isn't making the power I'm satisfied with yet. Just ordered a whole fuel system, trying to make more power with e85 on this car. I already maxed out a set of 800cc injectors at 26psi with race gas, but only had a single 340lph Aeromotive pushing them. New fuel system is going to be either a twin or triple pumper(triple if I can't get enough fuel up top) with a boost a pump feeding into a set of 1200cc injectors.

Don't feel like wasting the money to dyno if the car isn't going to hit a good number. Either way, this car is going down to TX2K12 so they have a free dyno day. Whether it is running at full potential or not it's going to make the dyno that day. That's where my white GS was dyno'd 2 years ago.

Going stand alone or will a piggyback be able to throttle down the 1200's comfortably? I'm actually surprised that you got 800's and based on your work I don't believe you'd settle with any drivability issues.

Thinking more, do you have it tuned for straight 93 or just e85?

This car stuff is just on the side for fun, not really something to make a career out of. I need to get rid of all my other cars. It's taking up all the room in my garage, and I have a 4+1(work area) car garage at home. Just going to settle it down to the 2 GS's. Then maybe buy something new after everything is gone.

This is my daily, so yes drivability is of my utmost concern. It must also pass state inspection, so no CEL allowed(this means the car must idle like stock or else it will throw a misfire code). I actually ordered both a new set of 800cc, 1000cc, and 1200cc injectors. Going to see which one can pulse down low enough to run stable with the piggyback. The old 800cc I had were modified denso injectors, and the latency time wasn't low enough to command a stable idle.

The new 800cc I bought are the Siemens Deka injectors, the 1000cc are Injector Dynamics, and the 1200cc are a modified Bosch EV6 injector. These newer injectors have a latency of around 0.6-0.75ms average VS the older design injectors which have a latency of 1.5ms to as slow as 3-4ms! We'll see how it works out, but I've seen videos on youtube of people running the ID1000 and pulsing low enough to idle with stoich AFR on a stock 1.6L non-vtec Honda lol. They even did it with the ID2000, but the best AFR they could achieve was around 13:1.

For fuel, I will be running a switchable map setup. One for E85 and one for 93 pump gas. Going to aim for around 30-35psi boost on E85 with this car and see what kind of numbers it will lay down. I'm cutting the date close, but I really hope to finish before Tx2k12 coming up in about 2 weeks.

So what did you use to mold? If you were to bump into something would the mold crack?

Nice work on molding the lip.

I agree with Rich, it looks cleaner with the side markers deleted.

I've tuned ID1000's on Subaru's and they were great injectors. They would fire consistent and clean at really low pulse width.

Quick note though, everyone found them to flow a little below 1000. If you have trouble scaling them in, try factoring them as 890~900 cc injectors. And yea, with the 2000's guys couldn't get them to idle down perfectly with the 2.5 boxers on pump.

Good luck with the injector swap party!

my body guy also threw that to me as well, wanted it molded and he needs a special gun and rods to weld.
