As i pull off from a dead stop i noticed about 2 months ago that my car that my RPMS shoot up to almost 2000 before my speedometer kicks in.

Now my car does move as soon as i hit the gas but why isn't the speedometer engaging as soon as i start moving. It's really irritating and i know this is not normal.

Checked tranny fluid level was fine, color was fine.

I do have leak coming from possibly the rear main seal(which i was told)
could this becausing a transmission issue or something else?

Anyone know whats wrong or experienced something similar?
