broke down
So it is now 10:20PM and I am on the side of the road on I75 North. Was heading to Tampa and the car started bucking..then it wouldn't accelerate...then it just stopped. WTH!! Now it won't even crank. Any quick ideas? Where the Tampa crew at? Lol..geez. 98 GS400 with 2JZ GTE swap

You sure you didnt run out of gas ? Russell, when I was learning where my gas gauge stopped reading, this happened to me twice ... But from what I was told your gauge is reading correctly ... where is the gauge right now?

Not out of gas...car was driving great..I wasn't pushing it hard just cruising at 80mph. Just happened suddenly..I am like 30mins away from my destination ..geez. Anyone know alpha in Tampa? I forgot to get his info from my car guy. And I don't want just anyone poking around the car. I am having the car towed to S 79th St. Tonight..but the continued towing fron AAA is only for tomorrow

I just spoke to him on the phone, while on the phone he tried to crank it and it started ... So your theory sounds more accurate ...

Like Justin said, after being stranded for about an hour waiting on AAA to arrive, I tried to start it just for the hell of it..fired right up like nothing happened..WTH!! The last time this exact thing happened after a long drive on 75 on my way to Tampa also. Only thing different is that then the car was starting..it just wasn't accelerating, left it for about the same time..boom, cranked right up and the problem didn't return until yesterday. I have driven the car around town until the fuel light came on and this never happened. Only on long drives so I figure something is overheating..just don't know what! Justin thanks a lot buddy, although u didn't solve the issue I really appreciate the fact that it was late..u have ur family and u still told me to call u to see if we can figure out what was going on. You my friend are AWESOME! Lol..

Made it back to Ft.Lauderdale from Tampa without any issues, I did stop after 2 hrs driving to let the car cool down fro 45mins just in case. Figuring the fuel pump may be overheating, since when I drive around town I have no problems at all, only on long drives. Thanks to the guys that responded, Justin you the man. Got to meet Victor at Induction Performance in Tampa, nice guy glad to know when I move up shortly I already know someone in the area that knows their stuff.
