So like the title states, my car overheated and the radiator has a huge crack on top of it..

I have a 2000 gs300 with around 160k.
I was wondering if there are any aftermarket radiators that are made for our cars.

I searched and found the KOYO radiator Part #a2222, but i'm not 100% sure if it'll fit because i inquired about a replacement radiator with a couple friends, and they said that KOYO didn't even make a repl. radiator for our cars..

Anyhow, stock radiator will cost me around $370 without a reservoir (which i need). Almost a $500 fix pretty much.. Any help is appreciated.

There are a lot of cheap replacements for radiators. I had to change mine a couple months ago. I think I only paid $100 for it. I think the brand was CSF I'm not sure.

Where did you buy yours if you don't mind me asking?? Would you say it's pretty well built radiator? I don't wanna have swap it out again sometime soon or when i'm road-tripping somewhere far.. lol

also, I guess i could just switch out the top tank.. I hope that's the only part that's leaking because i see coolant everywhere in my engine bay. lol

Go on ebay. There are a ton for around $100-150 range including shipping. I replaced the radiator in one of my cars with the $100 ebay one and it works perfectly fine.

I tried a Lynel one and it didn't fit my GS430. Might have been for a GS300. Some say Koyo one for the IS300 or Supra will fit with modification. The radiator feels cheap compared to OEM but so far it works with no problems and I'm not losing any coolant. I'm surprised the OEM one lasted almost 190k.

Sorry to hear about your problem bro. My car overheated going to Vegas last summer. Had 5 peeps in it, loaded with luggage to the hilt, doing 85+ over that hill right before stateline, car didn't actually seize or anything but I saw my temp gauge have a huge spike. So when I got back in town what I did was replace the radiator, the reservoir tank and most importantly the thermostat.

Radiator: $100
Reservoir: $150
Thermostat: $20
2 Jugs of Coolant Fluid: $40
Labor $85 (to remove & replace)
Total Cost $395

Hope this helps give you an idea of what you're looking at to get it repaired.

by the time you buy the part, spend the time to do it, and then hope and pray it works properly, you might as well buy an aftermarket one for $100-$150 and know you are getting a new part...

agree wit mitsuguy! Don't fool around with your engine's cooling! I know this problems may seem huge but it will be tiny compared to the problem you could have if you don't replace the parts correctly or try and cheap out and your engines over heats and seizes.
