Chrome trunk bar
Well, for the record, I am not a chrome guy. I am not into the huuuge chrome dubbs or whaever they are called. I like the simple yet clean look. AND IMO this adds a touch of class to an already great looking car. I don't think it's over done. I mean I look at it and I see a clean black Lexus. I don't think of a Lincoln or Maxima, or whetever else some people want to compare it to. Another reason I did it, not there needs to be one(other than it's my ride and I like it), is that is it an OEM JDM TOYOTA part. Made for this car by Toyota. I don't think I would have used it if it weren't OEM. As you can see... my car does not look like the one you can buy off the Lexus lot, but it is ALL Lexus/Toyota equipment. No knock offs here.... Well, maybe the HID's, but you can't see them. Besides, they are standard equipment on newer GS's right? This is the main reason why I decided to go with the HID system. It's not like I am driving a Hyndai with HID's right??? But in the end.... God bless America where you can agree to disagree and you won't get shot right????

I went through sorta the same thing with my wheels...a lot of people, like yourself, don't like chrome wheels. It bothered me to the point that I almost did an even trade for a set of silver wheels that were cheaper. Then I asked myself was I doing this because I didn't like them or because other people didn't (actually all the people I spoke to outside CL thought I was crazy to consider getting rid of them...perhaps not as much class as CL folk). Anyway, I decided I like the way they looked, so I kept them...although I still sometimes wonder how it would look with some silver wheels
Moral to the story: If you like your chrome bar, keep it

Yeah, i figuire as much.... Hey, how do you like the Tein kit? Did you get the Flex? If so, how have you adjusted to the diferent ride?? I am having a big conflict on wether I should keep it. I can't say enough about the look, but the ride is something I am not used to yet. Maybe I am just being too difficult huh?

Yes, I got the Flex. I am very satisfied with them...I usually run about 2 clicks on the fwy and 4 clicks around town, and crank it up to about 8 clicks when going slowly over dips or speed bumps to avoid scrapping. Wish I would have gone with them at the beginning.
I can't imagine your ride being at all harsh with 17's, even with my 20's the ride is comfortable up to about 5-6 clicks. Have you check it out to ensure everything is installed correctly?

Hi gang:
Do you think this Camry chrome trunk bar would fit on the GS? Looks very similar when you compare the pics. The keyhole is in the same area. Hmmmm....seems as though its a possibility.
Has anyone tried fitting this Camry chrome bar on a GS?
Sorry about this pic I posted....i got it from the Toyota web site.

Well, I think that the only reason anyone would consider getting the Camry piece over the GS piece(provided they are the same), is because the camry part is availble here. The GS is only available in Japan and you would have to special order as I did. This of course would mean a longer delay and a higher price, also which I had to do.

It's all good bro. I have though decided that I am going to sell my Tein Flex. It may be partly that I don't know how to use the system and I am not totally sold on the sporty stiff ride. And although I love the look..... I got to have the comfort.. What do you guys think? Am I making a mistake by getting rid of this kit?
