Get a reputable one like rmm, oem, etc.. The cheap ones dont last i have first hand experience

I don't think your experience with one bad strut bar constitutes a claim that all the no-name eBay ones will fail. In fact this is the first time I have heard of one failing at all.
OP, I say notch the cover out for the bar, see if the cover can be lowered, or put a foam spacer between the bar and cover. Lots of possible solutions.
