Default Benefits of TRD Strut Brace

Found a Good deal on a TRD strut brace and I am about to buy it. I have a few questions

Will this actually create a decent improvement for my handling or is it for looks??

what is the actual benefit from a strut brace?

Do they make fake ones and how can I make sure this one is real.

Here is the pic of it

The purpose of strut bars is to reduce flex that these towers experience during hard cornering. When taking a turn a car's strut tower normally flex, resulting body flex and losing some traction.* As a strut tower bar is designed to keep your car's strut tower from flexing, they distribute the pressure applied to one strut tower when taking a turn to both towers instead of just one. This keeps the wheels in position. Keeping the wheels in position helps keep the tires in the desired position on the road, and this will help to improve traction on the turns. Look for a makers mark on the strut bar would b my guess..

Solid 1 piece welded together is preferred. less moving parts = less flex.

not sure about fakes but it if it is too good to be true... its not reality!!!

Design shape looks right, but appears to be the wrong color (or a different color than mine was).

Difference you feel from a STB will be minimal... doesn't make that big a difference in a GS.

I would ask for close up shots before taking that drive. The color looks suspicious IMO!

TRD is no different another stut bar but you are paying for the name aswell. Hey if you can get a TRD then grab it.

That is definitely the TRD bar fully welded design. They are more rigid than any other STB. You will actually have to raise one side of the car, then with the 3 nuts off, step on that wheel to get the strut mount to go down a bit to get this to fit, it is that tight. For some reason the owner painted it some kind of silver but I would still say it is worth a $100.
