Default Stuck on 2 wheels, 1 rep, 1 orig.

So i'm stuck on these two wheels, got Megan LPs on the way and i've started collecting parts for the LS4 BBK. I've been staring at wheels like 4hrs a day. This has been the hardest decision yet, picking a set of wheels. Also this will be the first set of wheels i've ever bought. My last two cars where a C280 and 320i, and I just kept them clean/stock. I've never had a place in the whole rep vs. original arguement. I just know TE37s never really appealed to me much but the polished Varrstoen reps did, its just not a style I would pay $4k for I guess.

But here are the runner ups, with the specs I would run, also theres a third possibility at the bottom of my list, and yes im a Euro enthusiast.

Work Gnosis GS1: 19x9.5F / 19x10.5R (researching available offsets)

Varrstoen 2.2.2 19x9.5F / 19x10.5R ET 22 x 4

And just to have a plan C..,
TSW Valencia 19x9.5 x 4 ET 20

Thoughts?

I voted for Varss + GTE swap.

Just curious, how big are the lips on the TSW front/ rear for a 19"? They don't have a staggered option available?

I for one dislike the gnosis series from work. I'd rather have something that looks better than a name brand to get my Internet credit. I say Varrstoen 2.2.2's they fit very well and they're pretty strong for a cast wheel.

Its funny because most of the people that say buy brand name wheels or go home are the same people who either spend their life savings into their vehicle and rarely drive it or the ones who spend $5k for wheels on a $10k car. To each his own, but I will never spend 50% of the cost of a vehicle on slabs of metal for it to roll on. For reference I've owned a few cars in my day and they were sub $50-60k cars; with those car I did put on the BBS, HRE, GFG, multipiece and what not. But the wheels were sub 1% of the cost of the car.

Go for what you like, any wheel regardless of the name brand will bend or turn into crap if given the same EXACT environmental conditions.

Bro our cars are worth less than 10k now so unless you're balling, I'd go with the Varrstoens and the GTE swap.

Nothing worse then cracking a wheel while Highway Riding........KO's are nice but when a cast wheel is designed and cast the same as a forged wheel without going through the forging process then it has questionable strength! Some cast are better than others and are widely used but they usually will be a more basic design which can handle stress much better.

I voted work BTW

I feel what all you guys are saying from a certain perspective. Note that i'm not seeking approval, just genuinely stuck on these two wheels. I've also stated in another thread about how its rediculous to have wheels that are worth more than the car but I was referring to BBS LMs which are $6-8k. Gnosis which would be little ove $3k is not as near as unreasonable and irrational as LMs lol. But i'm actually surprised to see people who share similar opinions on CL, thats pretty cool.

Oh yea VINCE9164, they're available in staggered form 19x8.5 - 19x9.5 and the lips 3' inches I believe for the 9.5, but the 8.5 barely has a lip at all and looks pretty wack, which is why I wouldn't run it staggered.

Varrstoens aren't cheap shxt like XXR's ect. They're actually pretty good wheels. A number of my friends are rolling on Varrstoens and I've heard only positive things about them.
