It's possible to find a low mileage GS. Just hard to find. I bought my 98 in Dec 2010 with ~41k miles on it. Original owner was elderly, so rarely driven + garage parked = Got T boned at 70k miles RIP

Spent 2 months looking for another one everyday til I landed a well cared for 02 with typical mileage (130k miles). If you don't need a car this minute, and you feel hesitant about anything about the car, keep looking..

Thanks for finding those, I'm going to buy them before you do ... j/k

Just make sure you go see the cars in person before putting any money down or wire transfers. Test drive, test drive, test drive ...

try to avoid new york cars, sometimes is better to buy a car with twice that milage but from other state (worst roads and traffic lights every 100 feet so suspenssion and transmission)
check carfax and autocheck to verified milage plus look at interior for exces wear on seats, sterring wheel, carpets (some people change interior peaces for better look)

Mileage is a thing of the past......service records rule all, and proper service is king.

Mine has almost 300k miles and I bet it idles like the day it was first bought. Sticks right at/around 500rpm, shifts like a dream.

Because I have 35 pages of service records to show oil changes were done at 3-5k miles every time. And timing belt and water pump and such were done on time.

And mine was one owner......

i guess the biggest thing would be looking them over in person really good and find out what maintance has been done. All of them are basically going to need timing belt++ service done real soon. i'm not really a fan of black but from the little i've seen those 2 look like they MIGHT be the 2 better options if i HAD to pick. The red one looks nice and has some recent maintance listed but the price is the highest of the 4.

Good luck and at least it looks like you have some options. when i bought my gs4 in august last year i just got lucky as it was only the 4th reasonable priced older gs i found in my area in 3 months of looking.

That's sorta the thing, if you want a nice looking GS, you're gonna have to fork out more than 5k.

I think the ads not having much info is due to private sellers just posting what they know, these are craistlist ads afterall.... And the red gs I got the owner down to 5500

None, go for at least a GS400 for the power
Look around, The Gs is now easily found for low pricing, especially 98-00. I had a 99 400 in my area going for 4k in good shape.

My number one want is a reliable gs, I'm more concerned with that than anything, that's why the low miles caught my eye, I'm still looking , just wanted to ask about the suspect nature of the low milage on the older two. And I have been told that if maintained a Lexus can last a good while.
