how often do you guys get caught by cams or run tolls anyways to actually need these things? seems like its only a good idea if you have a show car and dont want to flash your plates at a meet or something.

not bad, but recently in nyc theres been a large number of truckers using this type of hide away plates to avoid tolls. they beefed up the security on all tolls in the tri state & cops are also on the look out of these things even if they were not illegally used.

I think those are awesome ideas! 15 years ago when I was racing my mustang on the street or going to the street races in Ontario I would have totally been all over that! Today though I drive and obey the rules of the road. I still like to go fast but only on the track.

My thoughts exactly. That one trucker came to mind for having something like this trying to cross the GW bridge. These are favored by people who attend car shows and meets.
Judging by your post, it looks like evading tolls and becoming a scofflaw would be the reason IF you were to get one of these.
Anyway I think it's a nice mod to have but for the reason it was originally made for.
