Default How many miles has your 2g GS lasted? ...or met its death at?

Currently rolling in a classic but almost perfectly healthy and preserved GS400 with 233 000 kms on the clock, I am curious as to how long some of the 2nd generation GS's have lasted for other owners.

The powertrain on these cars seems to be indestructable and I'm wondering if anyone has had to rebuild or replace their engine or transmission when they've done all the recommended maintenance. Does it even happen?? Any other major repairs?

This is just out of curiosity, and a slight need to assure myself that my car will probably outlive myself and my children

230,000 miles on mine, going into the shop in two days for prevent gaskets, and putting on some new brakes. Wont lie, i also have to replace the alternator, by that is the manufacturer's issue, warranty work. Runs like a champ still.

The thing is the suspension on these cars wear faster than the engine.
