Looking for others with the limited edition sports package
I have a black on black 2004 lexus GS430 with navi and spoiler. Limited edition sports package. I would post a pic but it seems you cant download from your computer? Though Im from canada I bought a US car. In other words the kms are miles instead.
Anyway. In case you didnt know what that was"
"In 2001, Lexus also added a limited production GS 300 "SportDesign" edition, featuring the sport suspension from the GS 430, wider 225/55VR-16 Michelin Pilot HX tires, and polished alloy wheels.[9] The SportDesign interior added perforated leather upholstery along with brushed aluminum and dark stained walnut trim. For summer 2001, production of the GS 300 SportDesign was limited to a run of 3,300 units (vs. 25,000 annual GS sales annually).[9] Production of the limited model occurred through 2004."
Does anyone have this as well? Did it come with paper work? Because up here in Canada when you tell them what you have the dealers dont know anything.

i cant understand what your trying to ask?
either way, my SD was kind of weird, it didnt come with any logos on the side (2002) (can anyone on CL tell me why?) but it does have the black wood trimming, grey piping on the seats, says sport design on the middle console, have the different color middle a/c unit. thats all i can think of as of now im sure theres plenty of more little things it comes with

I saw that as well, but I do. I bought it with that information and decided to check up on it.
I have all of it besides the navi. The perforated leather, aluminum trim, dark stained walnut trim suspension wheels, all of it. I have seen other GS430s and they dont have this.

Well, that is not the way it came out of the factory, that's for sure. Unless its not actually a 430 and is really a rebadged 300, but why in hell would someone do that... One look at the engine and you would know heh.
Like previous posters have said, there was never, ever a SD for 400s or 430s, only 300s. If parts in the car say SportDesign, they would have been put in aftermarket. Simple as that!
That does not mean its a whole lot less valuable though, those parts are tough to come by, and in a 430, hell that's like getting the best of both worlds.
