The question of selling it comes down to do you think the money you will get is worth the value of the car?

That is to say, if you got the proceeds from the sale, do you think you you can find an equal value in some other car or do you feel in your heart you will be taking a big loss. That will tell you if your personal value of the car is way more than the market value.
If garage space is an issue though, sometimes you got to make a decision.

All this being said, for me personally past few years, i've taken up skiing and hit the slopes pretty hard in the winter, after which I have no longer found the urge to race cars anymore.

I've decided to keep it for now. I own the car outright and it's not taking up any space I need. I do love this car beyond what the market value currently is. It's been far more reliable then I would have ever expected. Cornering in a car has always been such a trill to me and trying to perfect it is always a challenge I enjoy.

I too enjoy winter sports the issues with that is it's seasonal and I also live in Florida. So I have to travel and plan ski trips... meanwhile I can run performance tires all year round.

I'm going to take the longshot and try my hand at the GS. I'll see if I can make something out of it, other than a phenomenal aging luxury car.

I have been thinking about this as well for a while. I Love my car and plan on doing suspension and wheels it will end up ofcourse being a daily. In the next year I am going to build something but am so tired of all the normal cars. Did you ever think about a Cressida or sc?? Seems silly but plenty of suspension and how can you go wrong with the 1j aftermarket presence. Different, rwd and not the damn AWD craze or civic/240 like everyone and their mother

I do own a SC300 as well. It's all looks "stanced" or what will you. I've seriously debated on swapping it but the more I drive it the less I like it. It's a decent car but that about were it ends for me. But thanks for the suggestion.

Not at all trying to question your taste, to each their own, but what about it do you dislike? I have driven so many cars in so many price ranges but have found everything is a sht box until you execute a plan to make it into what you want/need it for

The weight is a complete kill joy. Plus lack of an easy manual trans option.

I don't like the "feedback" of the car, maybe its a weight issue? It doesn't feel stable in a corner. Turn in is great but it's quickly followed by oversteer. Which I find myself loosing speed because its going sideways at a lower speed then I'm used to. The SC that I have has Bilstein coilovers, which ride great and gives it a better feel over stock. The other setup I have ran was D2 coilovers which I ran for strictly street duty, so I have zero track time to give you any feedback on.

As far as the GS goes I'm going to treat it like a BMW 3-series sedan. I'm going to strip it down, research some suspension setups. Get it corner balanced, then find the lightest, widest 18" wheel setup... then see if I can dial it in. As far as the manual gearbox, well I'll give the auto a try. It was good enough for Team Lexus(I'm sure I'll have to build it) But if not still have a sc400 quantum auto manual swap w/ r154. I'm sure I can make it fit

Hey, I say gut the **** and track the car! It'll be unique and a "wow" factor to the racing scene! Need more Lexus and less normal cars racing. "... Look at the Lexus go like whoa! Flying down the track like whoa! Hittin' 100+ like whoa!" Like sakataj said, "what you selling?" lol
