Car is stuck in Parking gear
so today, i parked my car after lunch break at work, and when i got in my car to go to class, i couldnt get it out of park!! i just took off the little plastic thing and stuck a pencil into the holes and pulled it out of park..
dont want to keep doing that every time i drive my car, so would anyone happen to know what is going on?
i drive a 2001 gs300 btw

same thing happened to me. check the fuse for ur ABS, its behind the E-brake pedal, in the panel in the corner. replace the fuse, and the problem should be fixed. it took like 2 weeks for me to figure that out.

here are the most common causes:
1. blown fuse (where the previous guy said)
2. bad brake light pedal sensor (right behind the brake pedal)
3. shift lock ecu (sits on the transmission, you probably need a mechanic to replace it)
In my case it was the ecu, think it cost $140 to get it replaced.

so i just checked the fuses but the abs fuse wasnt on the fuse map behind the plastic cover..
i will probably check all these other possibilities
