Hi all, I am a new member to this site and I wish to seek some help.
I just bought a 1998 Lexus Gs300 and it's run well. The car is clean and everything is fine. The only issue I have is the odometer problem. The car is actually 140000 Kilometer on the clock, but previous owner has to reset the ECU due to "some problem" which I don't know what it is. Now the dash is showing 17000km. I am wondering if it is possible to show the original mileage on the dash instead of this "fake" one? Cheers!

This sounds like a job for the dealer to tackle. If it's even possible to program a mileage onto a 2G GS's odometer, the technology to do so would be pretty tough to get a hold of and operate.
Just take er in to the dealer and ask what they can do. Also if you get a chance I'd pull the codes just for the hell of it given its history. You can get an OBD II code reader off ebay for super cheap (~$30). Everytime the dealer pulls your codes it costs around $100.
