Default TSB NV009-00 Window Seal

This TSB is for '98-00 GS300/400 and is to eliminate wind noise from front windows. Have any of you had it done to your vehicles and did it make a significant reduction is noise?

Damn I have a problem with my weather stripping on the inside window, you can see if you look up a gap in the window when it's all the way up. How does this window sealer work?

Futuregs,

I don't know how it works. I'm hoping somebody else can tell us.

You'll need to put some kind of felt or foam to fill up the gap between the window weather strip and the door. Just cut a piece of felt about 20mm long and 3mm wide and tape it around that corner. Reinstall the weather strip.

when you reinstall the weather strip, make sure the top edge of the weather strip is perfectly sealed with the door frame. This will help to reduce the noise some.

VVT-i,

I'm assuming you are answering futuregs' complaint. The TSB I'm talking about requires you to remove the front inner door panel. The title of the TSB is "Front Window Wind Noise at B-Pillar lower." Am I right in assuming that this is talking about the bottom rear of the front windows?

Well, to close this out, I'm getting it done next Friday. No charge. It applies to GS3's up to around 106,000.

Mine was actually installed yesterday. But haven't got the car back due to back order on my replacement headlight.
