2000 gs300 gear shifter not shifting
Hi all,
I am having trouble finding diagrams/pictures on how to remove the plate that is marked with the gears on the center console. The boot that covered the inner workings has disintegrated and I am quite sure a bit or more has gotten wedged in an area that should allow for the lever to move when the brake is depressed so the shifter can move along. I am still able to use the release button in the upper right, but it is a little bit annoying. Especially when my tool (mech pencil) has flown across the seat during a turn. I just want to get in there to clean it out. That's all.
I just want some pictures. I've tried google and searching the forums here and things are close, but not quite. One person who changed from auto to manual looked right but I found no pics.
Thanks in advance! And if my info was to be found in a silly easy place, I'm sorry. Really.
Cheers,
AnaKate
