Default help me figure out this sound....

Car is a 98 lexus gs 300..

I recently changed the brake pads, machined the rotors and installed some 5 spoke Gs 400 wheels on with new tires.

For some reason I am getting a tick tick tick or Ka Ka K a (imagine a sports card taped between a bicycle spoke, but metal on metal), but sound when the car is in motion. It gets louder the slower I drive, quieter but faster the faster I go.

Sounds coming from either the the passenger front or rear. The sound goes away when i brake. It also take a few minutes of driving for it to start making the sound

I Pulled the pads apart etc, and did not see a problem anywhere. I figured maybe the caliper brackets since they are new, I painted them and they are not hitting the wheel.

TIA

Check if its the brake dust protector thing. the metal thing around/behind the rotors sometimes that thing gets bent and is too close to the rotors

I have the same noise/symptoms, haven't fixed it yet. Had a mechanic put it on a lift and stethoscope it to pin-point the sound. Mechanic said rear wheel bearings. I saw another thread on here with the same issue and it was fixed with some grinding on rear brake area, that car had aftermarket rear rotors.

My car has aftermarket rotors, are yours oem or aftermarket?

Same issue here as well but it starts soon as I move. I haven't had a chance to gake anything apart but mounted, everything that I can reach seems secure. Wheel bearings would typically howl as speed builds rather than click.

OEM rotors, the brake dust shields are good.

A buddy said to get the rotors re-machined again, incase there is some rust stuck on the hub or something.
