okay so after work i worked on the lip. i first wetsanded the lip and then polished it out with rubbing compound. i have to say it turned out pretty good just buffing it by hand. The key thing is to wetsand as much as possible till its smooth and dull. the Rubbing compound does everything else when you buff it. Im very happy with the result and will take a full car pictures when the weather is better. GREAT DIY and if anyone wanna save a few hundred bucks i suggest following this DIY! All i have to do now is keep up on waxing it.
So ray........ If I buy the lip and buy the $36 supplies, you finna paint it for me?
Keep in mind, my car is silver.
Kenn if you buy it just come by the house so we can work on it. expect 2 days for it because you'll want to cure the paint first and it takes a whole day.
looks great man.. nice job... I have about a 6- 8'' crack where the mold and TTE meet from a rock hitting the front bumper.. U can see the small hole then the lined cracked on the border of the lip.. Wish i could fix it myself..
