Default Hydraulic tensioner causing little slack in timing belt?

I'm having a shop install my newer motor and I'm doing the timing belt and water pump along with it. When they installed the timing belt, it seems like there is a little play in the belt, not a lot but just very little. My question is, will the hydraulic tensioner re-adjust and tighten the belt a little more after startup or not?

dunno, but when i did my timing belt, i pulled the pin on tension-er and it was nice and tight. try turning the motor over by hand and see if it tightens up...if not get another tension-er
