Default Replaced atlernator, now noticing things....

So I had my alternator replaced on my 2000 GS400 over the wknd and got a new battery. But when I started my car up, I noticed that my CEL, VSC and VSC OFF lights were on and wouldn't turn off. Also, when I started my car, the car starts, but does this weird thing, almost like a jumping thing, kind of hard to explain. And then goes to runs like usual. It just doesn't start up like how it did before the alternator was changed. Any idea on what this could be and why????

You probably want to start out pulling the CEL codes.

did you touch the throttle body?

when the car jumps like that it could be dirty throttle body? try cleaning it.

im not to sure about the CEL VSC lights, i remember when i hit a big pot hole and those lights turned on. they did however go away after a few mins.

Thanks guys for the prompt responses! I'm going to have my codes pulled today to see what that's all about. Also, the throttle body wasn't touched that I know of, a shop installed the alternator, but I will have my guy check to see if it is in fact dirty.

@TxLexus400, yes please keep me posted!

Take it back to the shop and make them figure it out!
