Default Brake Master Cylinder

Does anyone know where I can get a master cylinder at a reasonable price?. I've looked around and have found two. Both off 98's, I am not willing to spend $600 on a part that may have me in the same postion I am in now 6 months later. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Have you considered doing the changeout. After I did some searches on here I have found that you can change out your MBC to one of an avalon and save yourself from this happening again. Especially since like you said you might be in the same position a couple of months later, well at least if you bought a used one. I don't think if you bought a new one you would be in the same position a couple of months later.

There's basically two routes you can go; one is the avalon route, and the other is to buy a new one. i wouldn't buy a used one cause that will also go out in the long run since its a problematic issue for the gs model. Or you can check if the gs430 will work maybe they fixed it with those models.

The 2001+ dont fail nearly as much as the older ones do. I buy & sell a bunch of these cars and cant remember a 2001+ failing. No need to spend 3k on a new part. Even at 600.00 each for a used part, you could buy 5 of them before you reach 3k. Just find one of those and you should be good. I usually have a few in stock, but I sold a few in the last month or so. Just do a search, the newer ones have a different shape 3 pin connector so you will have to get the matching harness from the car or change out the older sensor on your old booster. Try and find someone still selling one that is on the car so you can verify miles and year. If I get one in the next week or so I will let you know.
