Airbag light / seat issues
So I've recently had a couple of things crop up.
Firstly, I had an airbag light come up, intermittently at first, then it went solid and stayed that way. This was about a month ago.
Then, later, my passenger seat stopped moving, which sucks because it'd been adjusted for a short person when it stopped working.
What I'm wondering is if these two problems are related in any way. I read in the manual that the solid airbag light (which I have) indicates a problem with the front airbags. Before I spend $100 at a dealer for an SRS diagnosis, I wanted to see what you guys thought.
And yes, I checked the fuses for the seat.

unbolt your passenger seat and check the connectors. Sounds like the plug from the car to the seat bottom may have come loose, disconnected, cut, corroded, etc.
Takes a flat head screwdriver, and if memory serves, a 14mm socket, and less than 5 minutes. Tell us what you find out.

Well, a friend came over today and we made double sure that all the fuses were intact. After doing this exhaustively, we found that a connector underneath the front of the seat had gotten loose
This fixed not only the power seat but the airbag light as well, so it was likely triggered by a lost connection to the side airbag. Thanks for the help!
