Where are you guys getting 300 dollar quotes?
I've been wanting to remove my spoiler.
The sucky thing is 2002 is the last year they included the spoiler. After 02' SD have the BMW looking small spoiler

Thanks for all the help guys! I guess I'm just gonna have to pay to get them shut. I live in Miami and I know of a good body shop who works on exotic cars that told me $250-$300 so I just said $300.
And yeah I wouldn't want to buy a new spoiler less trunk cos then I'll lose my black chrome emblems I don't want that mission of taking them off.

lmao yeah when i removed the oem wing i used some good ol' duct tape LOL.
i had to wait cause my body shop guy was busy, when he had time he welded the holes and compounded it sanded it preped it and sprayed it lol, i have the JP Rep 3 piece wing and i figured the wing itself would cover the holes but it didnt. lol i tried to cheap it out but yeah ended up doing it the right way!

I've been through this and here are the options:
1.) Plugs - tacky and you can typically see the imprint of the spoiler on the wing. This would never be an option for me.
2.) Weld/epoxy the holes, sand, repaint.
3.) Find a decklid without wing from another car that matches your paint.
You can do it cheap and tacky or you can do it right and dish out some coin. Up to you.
