I believe the sound would be the same for *any* exhaust system... Considering it's not fully attached... Please, take it from me, do it correctly and do it once. If you want it louder, physically remove your mufflers and have straight pieces of pipe welded in. I've done a bunch of custom and semi-custom exhaust jobs on a range of higher performance vehicles. I'd never ever do this. Not only will exhaust fumes enter your vehicle, but you can always tell when exhaust is unbolted. And everyone makes fun of you. Just like right now. Go outside, bolt up your exhaust and take it to a shop and tell them you want it louder. It reduces the noise inside the cabin, but there will be minimal difference outside. If you want your loud-as-*****-but-still-mostly-stock Lexus, have your catalytic convertors replaced with pipe. That will bring you the largest difference in noise. It will smell like a boat, fail emissions, and be stupid loud, but at least you're not driving around with a half-hanging-on muffler.

It's your car though, you're always welcome to do as you please. Just trying to offer advice as someone who has done a LOT of exhaust work.

There's nothing wrong wit the M2 exhaust. I have it as well, it sounds and looks real aggressive.

But leaving the exhaust slightly unbolted is not smart

Yes. it affects the tone. For the G8 people.....you got a washer that actually acted like a gasket.....

It allows enough leak not to sound like a leak, but a nice bass tone to the exhaust.

Pretty nice....however, that pic posted with 20 washers is just stupid.....but makes sense....its basically cut offs but still have exhaust pipes at the end for looks.....

The picture with the 30 washers was stupid. I put one small on just to let the sound out.
